Business Development Intern, San Francisco

The position will be based in San Francisco, USA and will work closely with the CEO. We are open to offer a remote work / anywhere in the US / Canada

Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Business Development Intern will be a strategic and supportive partner for our sales team at every stage of the relationship lifecycle. Some of the key activities will include:
  • Market research to identify business development opportunities
  • Produce / update collateral for sales discussions
  • Understand the product as well as the impact framework
  • Engage with clients in the financial and government sectors as part of sales conversations as well as active follow ups
  • Identify potential grants that the firm could avail and work with impact team to apply for these grants
  • Contribute to strategic decision making by sharing ideas and feedback on trends including competitor insights, client needs, sales, product and marketing information and acting as the voice of the customer internally

Job Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Demonstrable interest and experience in ESG/impact investment/sustainability themes
  • Reasonable understanding of technologies including AI/ML, APIs, web applications etc.
  • Able to produce decks and proposals required to solicit investments and grants
  • Minimum level of understanding of basic financial concepts
  • A bachelor’s degree from a reputed University
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Good research and PowerPoint skills

Preferred

  • Knowledge of impact investments
  • Experience in the banking / consulting / fintech industry
  • Experience in a client facing role
